The SIMNC Machine Tool Builder (MTB) is a desktop application used to assemble a virtual machine from its individual components. This Virtual Machine is then used by the
SIMNC Machine API.

  • MACHINE COMPONENTS
    A given machine tool needs to be defined once as a Virtual Machine, It can then be used over and over for any number of part programs and workpieces. A Virtual Machine is defined by using the Virtual Machine Tool Builder to assemble the machine from its individual components. While assembling the components their relationship, physical characteristics, coordinate system, freedom of motion, limits of travel and collision possibilities are all defined. The resulting virtual machine is then stored in a standard XML based GDML file.
